Incompetent cervix

Question

Nakakatulong poba Ang heragest para di Ako mag preterm labor kahit walang cerclage? Last check up ko is this month lang, and Wala Naman opening or shortening of cervix na nagaganap.  So, kahit ganun is inadvise parin Ako Ng OB ko to take heragest since Nung 14 weeks Ako.  Im 19 weeks now and Yung check up ko is Jan 7, 2023.   May history kase Ako Ng preterm labor.  #pleasehelp #advicepls

Mama, this is really important, please stick with your OB's advice and go to your January check-up as scheduled. Incompetent cervix and preterm labor history ay serious talaga, kaya ang guidance ng doctor mo is the best para sa situation mo. I can't say kung paano gumagana ang heragest or kung makakatulong siya sa case mo specifically, yan talaga ang territory ng OB mo na nakakaalam ng full history mo. But ang fact na wala pang opening or shortening is good news! Keep taking what your doctor prescribed and follow through with that January appointment para ma-monitor lang closely. A few of us mums with high-risk pregnancies have learned the hard way na consistent check-ups and following doctor's orders talaga ang peace of mind. You're doing great by being proactive, just trust your OB on this one, mama. Hang in there!
