I shared a little post on facebook about how an SMRT staff brightened up my boy's day and was pleasantly surprised that it got much acknowledgement from Singaporeans. (http://bit.ly/1Wu72KY) I feel that it's important that we teach our children about our unsung heroes in our community. How do you think we can teach our children about appreciating these group of special people? :)
I always taught my boy to say thank you when someone clears the bowl for him when we are out eating. Also told him not to litter as there are cleaners working hard to keep our country clean. He is still small but hopefully he can understand!
Children will emulate their parents and other grown ups in their lives. Be positive, kind, polite, humble and gracious (the list goes on) -- and they will follow suit :)
Yes! I saw my friends sharing this!! Your boy looks so adorable in the photo by the way. I'm sure he made Uncle Zainodin's day as well! :)
Be the role model and walk the talk. Make it a point to speak politely to them and always say 'Please' and 'Thank You'.
