since you did not mention your child's age i am not sure about the same, but dyslexia is usually diagnosed after the child turns 6. most children go through the mirror image phase, where they write the letters in an opposite fashion, as would show up in the mirror. it is pretty common and so many children i know have done it, including my elder one, who learnt to do it the right way herself. you can keep teaching by repeatedly showing her the letters at home through different games and activities. do not scold or nag her for it. in case it happens even after she is 6 do speak to her doctor about it to understand if any medical assessment can help.

Many preschoolers get confused when they start learning to write letters and letter reversals are very common. Dyslexia is only diagnosed when a child is about 6 years or around Primary one of age. However, early signs of possible dyslexia can be observed if there is persistent difficulties with recognising letters and learning letter sounds. Our local kindergarten teachers are good at flagging up their concerns usually in the second half of K1 or in K2.

Although there is no test to diagnose dyslexia, there are a number of ways to identify the condition of your child and the best person who can do it is a health care practitioner. He can do any, but not limited to, of the ff: *psychological test *questionnaires *reading and vision testing *medical and hearing testing http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/dyslexia/basics/tests-diagnosis/con-20021904

young children do get confused while writing these letters, and its often the mirror image thing that is in play. my kids also did the same and later learnt the regular way to do so. i think you can read books together that show the specific letters. play simple games and also try the draw and colour method to help your child recognize the letters and understand how to write them.

It's like mirror image writing. Initially it will happen but as she grows older she will understand the difference. I don't think it's dyslexia. Just expose her to story books. Play games like find the letter D or Q. Show flash cards of alphabets. There are games in computer tht teach these.

Maybe good for you to let us know how old is she? Maybe you can try doing more practice for those few alphabets? All the best!
