Expanded Maternity Leave Law

Hi Mummys out there especially to those who are expecting their baby/babies for the month of April which is next month na!! I am sure excited na kayo like me and my sobrang kaba. :) I also know na like me, my mga questions kayo kung covered ba tayo nito kasi recently signed lang siya and most of us already submitted our MAT1. I have contacted our HR kase maaga din akong nag-leave to ask if I am covered with this new law. She said they are still waiting sa IRR. Since eager ako to know and its our rights naman natin yun kasi technically, di pa naman tayo nanganganak, nagresearch ako and as per news: “ Secretary Bello III - Usually given 90 days, pero we don’t intend to fully utilize the 90 days. Baka in 45 days, we will come up with it… We will expedite the IRR,” Ang mabilis na paggawa sa IRR ng Expanded Maternity Leave Law ay makatutulong upang makuha na agad ng mga buntis na empleyado ng mga pribadong kumpanya at mga ahensya ng gobyerno ang dagdag na benepisyong ito. “The law is always prospective but it can be retroactively applied if it is favorable to women,” sabi ni Secretary Bello. THIS PART REALLY GOT ME: “Lahat ng nanganak, ‘yung mga manganganak, they will be covered kahit wala pang IRR. Definitely in the IRR, it will be retroactively implemented,” dagdag niya. let's hope for the best! Di biro yung amount at malaking tulong to for us. based sa computation ko, for normal delivery before which is 60 days, we can only get PHP 32,000 which will be PHP 533.33 a day. Sa new law, we can get 105 Days PAID MATERNITY LEAVE and if you do the math, PHP 533.33 x 105 days = PHP 55,999 or a total of PHP 60,000 malaking tulong to at higit sa lahat more time with our babies!! Coordinate with your company HR as soon as possible and let's all hope na kasama na talaga tayo! God bless us all :)

Hopefully kabilang n tayo mamshie kasi napermhn na ni Duterte nakalagay nmn dun is cover nmn. Simula s arw na ng sign cya. March end due date ko po or 1week of April. Kakasimula lng dn ng leave ko yesterday.

hello there. I am also hoping for this. Since di pa makapag decide yung HR dahil they are still waiting for the IRR, we can still take advantage sa ML benefit naten then after this, we can follow up kung pasok na tayo sa 105 leaves. if ever pasok, our employer should request the additional money or benefit to complete the 105 days. :)

Hello po covered napo ba ako for 105day ML. Nanganak po ako last March 20, 2019. When po ba llabas ung IRR. Kc para malaman kopo if when ako bnalik sa work. Hoping for your response momshie. Thanks

Hi, Aside from Mat1 anu pa ba kailangan isubmit sa company? nakita ko kasi na ok na ung maternity notification ko sa SSS. Pero when ko ba makukuha yung cheque from sss?

hello, yun lang muna yung hinihinge. sa sss cheque, depende sa company. usually 2 weeks before EDD dapat ibigay na yan. sa company ko kase ganon and you will be asked kung sa payroll mo or via check

EDD ko is august pa hehehee hopefully by that time pasado na ang 105 days, im so excited malaking tulong din para sa mga gastusin para sa new baby....

My EDD is on May 5. Sana umabot mga, sis. Wala pa kasi IRR. I already raised this with our HR pero wala pa response if ma-avail ko yung 105 days ML.

ako dn pinacheck ko sabi sa HR namin wala p daw un IRR n yan. pero May 19 due ko and hoping n sana nga plantsado n lahat bago ako manganak.

ang pagkakaalam ko 105 days and paid maternity leave, pero ang computation na benefits na makukuha sa sss ay based pa din sa 72 days...

Paano po kung 1year di ko po nahulogan sss ko pero 5years continuous po ako nakapaghulog. Makakaavail po kaya ako? May duedate ko po

hi, I am not sure pero most likely prang hindi kase dapat updated payment for the last 9 months.

effective na po yan kahit pending pa yung IRR kase yung IRR nakabased sa original law. kung ano po yung nasa batas susundin lng po yan ng IRR.

thanks, submitted na kse yung ML benefit request pero sempre we still need to confirm sa company HR kasi sila yung nakikipag coordinate sa SSS

sa pag kakalaam ko ma sign palang yung IRR bandang May. not sure pero sana agad ma sign malaking tulong din yon, july pa naman due date ko

hopefully magagawa na nila ung IRR by May. ung kase ang target month nula.
