How long should/can babies cry

Hi mummy and daddies, How long can I let my LO cry? He cries from home to IFC, its about a 20-30min journey Is it OK that he cries for that amount of duration non stop?

While it is normal for babies to cry for a short period of time, try to smoothe them instead of letting them cry for so long ?.

we did hang some toys to keep him entertained, also play songs while driving to keep him entertained. some days he just cries the whole journey :( occasionally when he's in a good mood, he doesn't cry too.. good and bad days :(
