ooh you are around the same time as me in your pregnancy. min. 2-3 days is indeed a little long if you contact them via WhatsApp between weekdays and during clinic operating hours. my gynae clinic (private) usually reply within 1 day but based on my observations when visiting my gynae, they are the chop-chop kind so I'm not surprised by the speed. perhaps in your next gynae visit, you could gently and politely give your feedback to the clinic assistants or gynae. maybe they have genuine reasons for long reply or so happened that they were busy during the period you contacted them. you can also take the chance to ask what would be the fastest/best way to contact if you have questions or concerns in future. I'll usually avoid being presumptuous and give the benefit of the doubt unless I've tried all means to feedback/ask but still no improvements

I think your gynae’s response time is unacceptable. We have no issues contacting our clinic. There’ll be nurses picking up the phone during working hours. Even if they are unavailable to speak, they’ll pick up and get my name and number, and they return my call almost immediately (regardless of the purpose of my call). My helper had shingles and I wanted to know what I needed to do, same thing, managed to reach the clinic immediately and got doctor to advise. We have also tried reaching our gynae after office hours (for an urgent matter) and no issues reaching her via a 24 hour helpline. For comparison and context purposes - We go to a private gynae.

I'm with KKH. so far, each visit I get to see a different gynae, which is alright with me since I don't have any preference. before this, I went to a private doctor for a scan. can't get through to any person on the phone, need to go through WhatsApp to fix an appointment. though the appointment was smooth, getting in touch with the doctor (for enquiries) took follow up before they responded. I don't like that. and it's not cheap. to me, govt hospitals are better. they responded quite promptly and as a citizen I get heavily subsidised rates 😀

Is the WhatsApp number meant for questions? If it’s just for appointments then maybe that explains the slow response. also if it’s a simple question personally i tend to just ask chatgpt or forums rather than gynae. There are many resources out there :)
