Advice on VBAC

Any mummies here went through VBAC? I’m stuck between VBAC or c-sect but i’m leaning more towards VBAC. Dr told me there’s 1% risk and one of the risk is life threatening to mummy and baby. But i’m wondering which is recommended? Dr didn’t exactly give me an answer because she said baby’s position and condition are all ok so i can either go for both. Need your advice please.

Hi mum, I went through something similar before and I remember how hard it was to choose because both options have pros and cons. VBAC can be a good option if your pregnancy is low risk and your gynae says baby position and scar look suitable, but it does come with that small risk of uterine rupture which doctors always highlight. At the same time, elective C-section feels more predictable, especially if you prefer a controlled plan, but it is still a major surgery with its own recovery. I think in the end it really comes down to your comfort level with risk versus predictability, and it’s okay to lean either way, maybe even change decision closer to delivery if needed.
