I'm sorry you're going through this, but this one really needs a doctor to check properly straightaway. Bleeding in early pregnancy with no heartbeat seen can mean different things, and only a scan and blood tests can tell what's happening for your situation. Please go to your gynae or A&E now so they can advise you properly and make sure you're okay.
Light bleeding can be normal in early pregnancy and yes, week 6 is too early to detect the fetus heartbeat. You need to monitor if there is any pain, and the bleeding continues… the bleeding should not be heavy like period. Consult a gynae immediately if any.
