Is transvaginal painful?

Hi, I think sometimes it also depends on the gynae. They will put lubricant get on the probe before inserting. Just relax and it will be easier because if your muscles are tensed up it may make it more painful. Most times I don't feel much, but occasionally I feel a bit of discomfort/pain that is still bearable.

If you are scanning for pregnancy, just relax, it’s not painful. As long as you are not tense, and for pregnancy scan only the tips is inserted. But for scan for eggs during iui/IVF, sometimes it’s uncomfortable or pain a bit. You can let them know when u feel pain.

also thought it'd be painful cause I've been cramping. actually quite ok just abit uncomfortable. relaxing definitely helps!
