Changes in stored milk taste

Hi mummies. My stored milk changes taste due to high lipase and baby refuses to drink. Any tips to overcome this or do I have to adjust my diet?

High lipase milk is actually quite common! The milk is still safe and nutritious, but some babies dislike the soapy/metallic taste after storage 😅 What helped me was: * scalding the milk before storing (heat until tiny bubbles appear around the edge, not boiling) * storing milk immediately after pumping * trying frozen milk mixed with fresh milk little by little * checking if baby prefers chilled vs warmed milk Usually it’s not really because of diet, so changing what you eat may not make a big difference. If you have a large freezer stash, test small batches first before storing a lot 🥲
