Red spots on face after vomiting during pregnancy

Hi mummies to be/ mummies. I had a first Merlion (vomit) session during my 14 weeks. Right after the first vomit, I experienced red spots on my face especially my eyes, cheek & chin area. However, it does not itch, not swollen and my eyes is not swollen either. I am back to normal now able to eat with no vomit after doctor prescribed me with declectin. How will this red spots go away? Thanks!

The red spots are likely petechiae from the pressure of vomiting, which happens to quite a few of us during morning sickness lah. They should fade on their own within a few days to a week or two since you're not having any swelling or other symptoms, so that's a good sign. Just avoid squeezing or picking at them, keep your face clean and moisturised, and they'll gradually disappear. If they're still there after a couple of weeks or if anything changes, definitely check back with your doctor or PD just to be sure, but honestly most mums find they resolve without needing to do anything special.

did you vomit too hard? last time i’ve ever coughed and vomited too hard until i had red spots on face too - which resulted in burst of blood vessels (that’s what my doc diagnosed previously), and it’ll just go away eventually.
