Recommendation for a good Chinese tuition for K2
Hi Mummies, I live at Queenstowns and I’m looking for a good Chinese Tuition center for my K2 boy. Had enrolled him at Kumon but it didn’t work for him.

Ah, I totally understand, Kumon's self-paced worksheet style doesn't suit every child, especially for Chinese where the kids really need more interaction and encouragement! One name that has come up a fair bit around here is Teacher Sean (you can reach him at +65 8751 4135), he's a full-time Singaporean tutor with quite a bit of experience, so worth messaging to check if he has slots available. I've also heard that for K2 kids whose parents don't speak much Chinese at home, one-to-one home tuition tends to work better than a group centre setting, since the teacher can really adjust the pace to your child. That said, availability can be hit or miss, so if Teacher Sean is full, it might be worth asking around your block or the school for a freelance tutor who does home visits in the Queenstown area, a neighbour of mine managed to find someone that way and it worked out really well. Hope your boy settles into something that clicks for him soon!
