Portable nebulizer with saline solution

Hi mummies, I have a portable battery nebulizer, do you know which saline solution brand or type is suitable for kids around 4 year old.

Hi Mei! My go-to is always normal saline (0.9% sodium chloride) — it's the standard one paediatricians recommend for kids and completely safe for a 4 year old. Get it in single-use sterile vials (the small bullet-shaped ones) which is so much more hygienic than a big bottle. Some brands easy to find at Guardian or Watsons: Normasol single use sachets, very gentle on little airways. B. Braun NaCl 0.9% is also common and paed-friendly. A few tips mama to mama: Always go for sterile, preservative-free saline as preservatives can irritate little airways. Single-dose vials are the safest option, once opened don't reuse. Stick to 0.9% only for nebulising unless your doctor specifically prescribed the hypertonic (3%) version. And of course always check with your child's paed or pharmacist first, especially if your LO has any respiratory condition. 🙏 Hope your little one feels better soon!
