Private or public 1st appointment

Hi mummies, I have not yet booked my first appt. But I would like to know if I should straightaway go consultation at private if I intend to deliver at TMC. Or should I go public first then go private ?#firsttimemom #Needadvice

Congratulations! Usually people go public then private is to save money. If finances is a concern, you can consider doing that too.

Honestly, if youre set on delivering at TMC, going private from the start makes more sense because your private doc can manage your whole pregnancy and delivery there without the back-and-forth. Some mums do go public first for the cheaper checkups and then switch to private later, but then youre basically starting your pregnancy records again and your private doc at TMC wont have that continuity. It really depends on your budget lah, since private appointments are pricier, but if finances allow, straight to private saves you the hassle.
