Any advise/thoughts of taking a short career break after 1st kid's arrival?

Hi Mummies, i am a first time mum and I have been thinking a lot about taking a short career break after my 4mths maternity. My current work place is very very toxic (even while I am pregnant) and the industry I am in isn't exactly family friendly. I have never taken any work breaks or had gaps between jobs the past 8yrs. This is the first time I am giving a short career break some serious thought. Was thinking to resign after 4mths maternity and take a 3 to 4mths break before I start looking around for a new job in a different industry. Financially, I can afford to be out of work for 12mths. Anyone ever in the same boat? Any advise? I'm just worried #1stimemom #pregnancy #advicepls #pleasehelp #firstbaby #motherhood
