34 weeks pregnant

Hi mummies, been wondering how do you cope with pelvic and back pain while working? I understand its hard to get HL when you’re with subsidies with kkh. I have put on pregnancy belt too but it does not work. So stressful

Oh I totally feel for you, 34 weeks is no joke when you're still at work and everything hurts! Honestly, the standard belt didn't do much for me either, so I switched to an SIJ support belt (the kind that wraps lower, more around your pelvis and hips) and that made a real difference; a few mums I know swear by that over the generic pregnancy belts. Beyond the belt, what helped me most was being a bit fussy about posture, especially how I sat at my desk and how I got in and out of bed at night, plus doing some gentle pelvic floor exercises and regularly using a hot pack on my lower back in the evenings. Movement really does help too, even just short walks or some light stretching, rather than staying stiff all day. I hear you on the medical leave situation with KKH subsidy being tricky, but it might be worth asking your gynae if there's anything else they can suggest or adjust, because some have been able to refer to a physio who specialises in pregnancy, even just a couple of sessions can make a world of difference. Hang in there, it's nearly the finish line!
