6 month old baby eats 3x a day

Hi mummies! My 6 month old started solids 2 weeks ago. This week, he has been asking for food a lot and eats 3x a day. Is this okay? Or am i jumping ahead in giving him more food? I understand that milk should still be his main source of nutrients and since starting solids, he hasnt been drinking much milk. Should i give him just 2 meals instead? Thank you!
