Delivery In Private Sector

Hello mothers and mothers to be! As a first timer,i would like to get some advise as of when should I actually go get myself registered in a hospital for delivery. My husband would like to have it done in private. Do I still need a pink book? I'm currently having my checks done at a private women's specialist in Putrajaya. Please advise or share your experience.
