Dear pregnant momies with PCOS

Moms, PCOS pregnancy is considered high risk and most likely, our hbp will increase and will cause us to give birth early via C-section. And thats exactly what happened to me. I gave birth in my 36th week because of my high blood pressure, to avoid eclampsia. It was supposed to be a normal check up, pero nauwi sa emergency C-section. Believe it or not. Knowing na may PCOS ako. I took a leave from work really early. Bed rest ako just a few months after ko malaman na buntis ako.. Honestly since wfh ako di ko need yon, since sa bahay lang Naman ako but I decided to stop working and focus on my pregnancy. Tried my best Na di tumaas sugar ko, and monitor my blood pressure, di ako masyado nag gagalaw, some people said need mga dapat gumalaw lagi, pero Sabi ko. I don't have a normal pregnancy. This is PCOS pregnancy, yes may PCOS ako 4yrs no contraceptives di ako mabuntis buntis, I'm not gonna risk it sa mga Sabi Sabi. I avoided UTI and sugar but not hbp. 180/130 eclampsia daw nila pero di Naman nabangit Ng doctor so baka di ako umabot don, maybe almost. If di ako na emergency that time baka nga natuluyan Ng eclampsia yon.

You did everything right, and that's exactly the point na ginagawa mo, PCOS pregnancies are different, and listening to your body and your OB over random advice is the smartest thing. Your story na kahit super careful ka pa, may complications pa rin, is such an important reminder na we really can't skimp on those check-ups and being honest with our doctors about every little thing we feel, kaya thank you ulit. A few of us sa aming barkada with PCOS din, at honestly, reading your experience makes us realize na dapat talaga we take the high-risk label seriously, hindi rin siya scare tactic, it's just how PCOS works during pregnancy. Your reminder about monitoring blood pressure, staying in touch with your OB, and not pushing yourself kahit may pressure to "stay active" from others, yan talaga ang dapat i-follow natin. So proud na healthy ang baby mo despite everything! Salamat talaga for looking out for the rest of us.
