Spanking kids

Mommy I feel so guilty and sad coz I spanked him for being to hard headed and pushing me to the limits of my patience. One time, he answered me back and lightly tapped his mouth. Am I a bad mom? Please give me advice. No matter how I talk to him, he’ll still do the same and not listen. By the way, he’s 6 years old. Thank you.
