Ahhh I feel you, confusion tu memang standard when it comes to private hospital packages! A few of my mum friends in JB also went through the same thing, some hospitals charge separate packages for mum and baby, some bundle everything together, so you really need to ask specifically whether their quoted price is per person or total for both of you lah. Honestly, my best advice is to call each hospital directly and ask them to email or WhatsApp you the detailed breakdown (labour room, epidural, paediatrician, baby's nursery stay, vitamins, everything) because kelam-kabut on the phone sometimes salesman blur-blur only. A few of us also recommend asking about hidden costs like CTG monitoring, ultrasound, or extra fees if you need emergency C-section, that's where the shock usually comes.
