Fever in toddler

Hi mommies. Worried lang ako baka may same experience din dito. I have a 17 month old toddler may fever sya 2 days na mataas temp nya pag gabi umabot pa ng 39.6 kagabi. Nagpcheck up na kami kay sa Pedia nya kanina and pinatest cbc and urinalysis, normal naman daw lahat ng result. Sobra din sya maglaway, maga gums nya teething yata sya. Now si Pedia nagreseta ng antibiotic for 1 week, medyo alangan lang ako ipainom. No other symptoms naman si toddler ko,  fever lang kaya medyo alanganin ako magbigay ng antibiotic sa kanya. Mama, I know that worry, its so scary pag ganyan ang temp ng baby mo, especially pag first time! But since your pedia already checked her and the tests came back normal, Id really trust that professional advice kasi siya ang nakita talaga si baby mo.A few of us moms have been in that alangan place too with antibiotics, but honestly, kung binigay ng doctor, may reason siya, maybe shes worried sa risk or theres something na kailangan ma-prevent. Best talaga is to ask your pedia directly why she prescribed it, and if your guts still unsure, you can always get a second opinion from another pedia, but dont skip it without asking first, ha? The fever at the drooling sound like it could be teething, but your doctor knows best.Gabayan mo lang siya exactly per prescription and watch si baby mo, youre doing great, mama.
