high blood pressure post partum

hi mommies, today is post partum 7th day. Went to emergency on post partum 6th day due to high BP and low heart rate. Did a lot of blood test, all came back within range, cleared from PP pre eclampsia.During pregnancy, my BP was around 90-110/70-80. Now its around 120-160/80-100 with on and off dizziness and headache.Highest was 187/110 at the emergency department. Taken a dose of labetolol and was discharged as BP normalised. Was not discharged with any medications. Anyone has similar encounter? #Needadvice #firsttimemom #pregnancy #highbloodpressure

I had postpartum BP issues too and it can happen even if pregnancy BP was normal 🥺 PP preeclampsia can sometimes appear after delivery, so please don’t ignore the dizziness/headache especially with readings like 187/110 😭 Good that your tests were okay, but honestly I’d keep monitoring BP closely at home and go back immediately if severe headache, chest pain, blurred vision, shortness of breath, or BP spikes badly again 🙏🏻 Postpartum hormones/fluid shifts can make BP quite unstable in the first weeks. Please rest as much as possible too
