Bloody Stool

Question

Hello! Mommies, please help. Recently, nagpoop si LO na may blood. Pinacheck namin and niresetahan siya ng Lactose Free formula or Enfamil Gentlease. Mixed feed kasi si LO at that time. Nagpalab test (fecalysis) na rin and it turned out okay.I’ve decided na lang na iexclusive breastfeed si LO dahil diyan. Nagtake na siya ng probiotics (Bio Gaia) for 5 days as prescribed. Akala ko okay na kaso today meron na naman.We’ve been visiting 2 pedias na and hindi ako ganun kaconfident sa mga sinasabi nila. 1 is suggesting it MIGHT be allergy daw. 1 is suggesting to do an xray. Meron nang xray result. Papabasa ko pa ulit.Meron ba kayong ganitong experience?  #pleasehelp #firsttimemom

Aw mama, I know how scary yan especially pag first time ka pa lang! Honestly, bloody stool sa babies can be stressful, a few of us dito sa circle had similar scares, and it turned out to be either mild allergies or just sensitive tummies. Since you've already done fecalysis and xray, it's good na may concrete results na, pero if you're not confident sa current pedias maybe it's worth getting a third opinion from another trusted pedia or even a GI specialist para sa peace of mind? The switch to exclusive breastfeeding is a good move din, a lot of moms swear it helped settle their LO's stomach, but yeah, I'd really push for that clearer diagnosis kasi you deserve to feel confident about what's going on. Fingers crossed it's something manageable like a sensitivity to formula ingredients lang! Keep us updated, okay?
