Just cut as normal, try using a soft sponge or wash cloth to wipe the nails area. It will go off by itself, don’t cut deeper. It may hurt for them but they won’t be bothered by it unless your kid knows how to talk.
You can also try filing after cutting instead of cutting deeper.
