Baby food 6 month old

Hi mommies, could you tell me if I can just feed my 6 month old baby chicken puree? And not mix with porridge? Can I also just feed baby spinach puree and chicken puree without porridge to baby directly? Apparently my husband and old neighbour doesn’t Like the idea of giving chicken puree without porridge to baby. They said must give baby porridge and mix here and there Need your opinion and advise on this please.
