Safe ba duphaston

Hi mga mommies! Ask ko lang if meron sa inyong may experience. Currently 22 weeks preggy, normal pregnancy, NO Spotting eversince. Ask ko lang kasi I will be traveling this Thursday, and ako na mismo nagpresenta kay OB if Dapat b ko uminom ng pampakapit. Sabi niya okay naman, better nga daw just to be sure kasi nga I will be travelling. So niresetahan niya ko ng Duphaston take ko daw kahiy few days lang before and after ng flight ko. May tiwala naman ako kay OB, pero yung friend ko kasi sabi niya yun daw iniinom niya dati para magkamens, and ngayon naman napagoogle ako and may nakita ako side effect daw is vaginal bleeding. Not sure if true. Can you share po your experience with this medicine? Is it okay to take kahit wala naman ako spotting talaga, kumbaga pampakapit lang talaga siya and for prevention na din kasi low lying placenta ako altho di naman placenta previa. Ay sis, okay lang yan, Duphaston is actually safe in pregnancy and commonly prescribed ng OBs for spotting prevention and low-lying placenta situations, so don't worry! A few of us sa group had the same hesitation kasi ng what we read online, pero honestly lahat ng meds may "side effects" listed kahit super rare, and your OB knows your specific case (especially with the low-lying placenta) way better than Dr. Google hahaha. Your friend probably took it for a different purpose (like to induce period), kaya different context talaga, sa pregnancy it's used as support lang, not to cause bleeding. Since you trust your OB and she explained the why, I think you're good to take it for peace of mind during travel, bes! Just follow her dosage exactly and if anything unusual happens during the trip, reach out to her agad okay?
