SMALL BABY DUE TO HYPERTHYROIDISM

Hi mga momies, sino po sa inyo ang nadiagnose with hyperthyrodism prior pregnancy but still give birth to a health baby? 🙃. Ako po kasi Nov 2023 nadiagnose na me hyper and dec na confirm na preggy ako. Currently 36 weeks and last month normal naman na ft3 and ft4 ko. Kaso worried ko. Maliit si baby. 2.2kls lang tapos parang maliit daw ung ulo as per OB. Worried sya na maliit baby ko. Nagpapelvis ultra ako to check na microcephaly sya pero as per doc na nag ultrasound, possible daw na maliit lang talaga si baby. Kahit anong kain ko kasi hindi talaga sya maggain ng weight 🥲 plus monitor pa sugar ko ☹️ habang nlalapit due date ko nagkakaanxiety ako 🙁

Uy, I can feel your worry through the screen, mama, and it's so valid, pero this is really one para sa your OB, hindi lang ako! Since you're at 36 weeks with concerns about baby's size and growth, your doctor needs to be the one guiding you through this (they're already doing ultrasounds, which is perfect). Hyperthyroidism during pregnancy is manageable, and the fact na normal na ang levels mo last month is already a good sign, pero only your OB and endocrinologist can tell you if baby's size is within safe range for your situation, especially with the sugar monitoring too. Keep those appointments close, and if you start feeling really anxious or anything feels off, don't hesitate to reach out to them sooner, Hindi ka nag-iisa dito, promise!
