I wish to have a pet since i am young. My elder been asking for a pet recently but i rejected him by explaining that he can't even clean up how own toys. how can he clean up after a animal

There are at least 3 cats who stay under our cats. They're strayed actually, but my daughter loves to stare at them and somehow play with them. I guess those cats counts as pets!
