Liquid Gold!
Lorenzo turned 3 years old last month and that marks his first 1000 days or more. Our breastfeeding journey was not easy, for the first three months I feel like giving up because it hurts and I bled. I tried all different kinds of breastfeeding techniques I even bought a nipple guard to protect my breast from bleeding but it bled anyway, I used a couple of nipple creams and ointments too to ease the pain.
There were times when I needed to be away from my child and the use of milk storage, breast pumps, and even lactation treats comes in handy. What I recommend for first-time breastfeeding moms is to eat lots of soup variants most especially with malunggay leaves, and limit yourself to 1 cup of Joe every day just to get your systems going.
3 years running I still continue to breastfeed my child. I feel at ease because he is getting natural and right nutrients he needs.
Don't forget to ask the experts for advice too.
Get vaccinated as well for that extra mile of protection against viruses.
August is National Breastfeeding Month, a month dedicated to advancing advocacy, protection, and promotion of breastfeeding to ensure that all families have the opportunity to breastfeed.
