Honestly, I was also quite hesitant about having a live-in helper before my first was born, but it made a huge difference during confinement and the first few months when I was really struggling with sleep and recovery. The adjustment period is real though - it took us a good two weeks to settle into a routine and find our rhythm. I'd say if you can afford it and have the space, it's worth considering at least for the first few months postpartum, because honestly those early days are tough and having someone to help with housework and cooking while you focus on baby and rest is a game changer. If you're unsure, maybe try for a few months first rather than committing long-term, that's what some of my mum friends did and it worked out well for them.

Getting a helper free you up for more quality bonding with your child. So u should get it, I struggled at first with someone living in my house but soon get used to it. The pros outweighs the cons in my opinion if u get a good helper.
