Silog dishes won't fail you. Why not make your own chicken tapa silog with a hot cup of kapeng batangas on the side? For the chicken tapa, you can simply purchase boneless (and skinless if you want) chicken. Marinate it overnight with a mixture of soy sauce, pineapple juice (or lemon/calamansi), crushed garlic and add a pinch of sugar and pepper.
