Tens Machine

I’ve heard that TENS machines can help with contraction pain. Are they really effective? Any recommendations for affordable brands, or does anyone have one I could borrow?

I haven't tried a TENS machine myself for labour, but a few of my mum friends did use one during their contractions and found it helpful for managing the pain, though they said it worked best when combined with other methods like breathing and movement. It's definitely worth asking your gynae or midwife about it during your check-ups, since they can advise if it's suitable for your situation and maybe even recommend a good one. Some polyclinics or hospitals might have recommendations too, so that could be a good starting point before you buy one. I'd say definitely check with your PD or gynae first just to be safe, especially if you're on any monitoring during labour.
