I've heard that it is better for a child to be born on his 7th month rather than his 8th month. Any idea why?

from what I can find on the internet, the general consensus is that if a baby is going to be born premature, it's safer to be born at 7th because medical experts can perform certain operations (on the lungs, for example) with less difficulty because the baby isn't as developed.
