I think that the compulsory school age is actually 6 years old for primary school, there's no indication about nursery and kindergarten so it should be okay - however, it is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE not to enrol your child into primary school without proper reason backed by medical and law papers. It is, however, recommended for you to let your child attend kindergarten to pick up social skills and some basic literacy skills too :) What kind of help do you need? If it's the cost that you're worried about, there are financial schemes that you can apply for which can help to subsidize majority of it :)

Hi , i was about to ask the same question too...i too having hurdles with my situation... But for my opinion , i think its a little okay for children to skip kindergarten unless we parent supervise them ourselves. Kindergarten in the first is to nurture kids before entering primary school curriculum.. thats just my opinion..

yes is compulsory. but playgroup n nursery not compulsory.

It's not compulsory but it's best to enrol them in one. It gets them ready for the next stage of their education journey
