My OB told me I shouldn put on anymore weight during my pregnancy as "baby will be hard to come ou

So I'm under a private doctor in NUH. Its my first pregnancy. I am not not gonna name this doctor but recently my visits with her has been becoming more and more stressful. I am in my 3rd trimester(33 weeks) baby around 2kg already and I've gained about 7kg in total throughout my pregnancy. This doctor/ob saw my weight and was like "eh you shouldn't put on any more weight if not its difficult for the baby to come out" And i responded & told her, my initial weight pre-pregnancy was 73kg and now I'm about 80kg. And she can evidently see physically I'm not as big as the rest during their 3rd trimester and people even think that I'm still early in my pregnancy because of my small bump and body frame but I'm already 33weeks. I'm not fat I'm just a female personal trainer who has a muscular built (workout 6x week, and a powerlifter as well) before i was pregnant and is tall too about 5ft 8 hence My weight was always in the 70s range. My BMI is always on the "overweight" side because duh BMI is based on height and weight of a person and is an inaccurate measure of bodyfat and does not take into account of muscle mass, overall body composition etc. So with whatever this doctor is saying, i feel like its kind of a red flag as i asked friends who are preggy and their ob/doc encouraged them to eat and put on weight during their pregnancy. Should i switch doctors is it too late?

7kg mama weight gain at 33 weeks is very moderate! In fact some will say it’s on the very modest side. And baby being 2kg isn’t big either. Your gynae doesn’t sound very pleasant to deal with and no gynae should ask u not to gain any weight in the last few weeks when baby is gaining 300g every 2 weeks and at the peak of its growth. Not everyone is a petite 5ft and 50kg pre pregnancy. I would suggest u change doctors if u don’t feel comfy with her bed side manner and philosophy. I am with Dr Irene Chua at Gleneagles and she’s amazing. I am also a FTM and I work out a lot pre pregnancy and during (till this week cos I went into pre term labour at 34 half weeks and asked to bed rest the rest of the way) and I am 40. But she’s never once mentioned my weight or my age. I love her! Highly recommend :)
