From what I've heard, SGH B2 ward typically requires around $6,000 cash deposit for delivery, which is much more manageable compared to private hospitals that can go up to $12,000, $15,000 or more for an uncomplicated natural birth. My neighbour delivered at SGH B2 and she mentioned the deposit amount was around that $6k range, though the final bill after MediShield Life and medisave deductions came down quite a bit.
