Baby first food

I'm a first time mom, is it too soon to give my 4 months baby soft fruits to chew on since she started to keep putting something on her mouth (her fingers,my hands) she would want to grab anything near her and put it in her mouth. Help pls. #firsttimemom #pleasehelp #FTM #firstbaby #AdvisePlease

Got a bun in the oven

what was told by my PD was that, baby need to have good neck control before starting on solids as they might choke if their head wobble and sudden drop. if in doubt, better to check with your PD during the next visit. usually the PD will do an assessment before advising if your baby can start on solids.

i give my baby a slice of apple to just taste and chew on. he doesn't actually eat it because he doesn't have teeth yet. just monitor them or hold the slice of apple or fruit for them in case they swallow it
