Paternity Leave

I’m curious and dying to know whether this is true or not. I am told that Paternity leave is now extended to 4 weeks. My husband is a shift worker, meaning in a month he has about roughly 14 working days and the rest of the days includes his off days & rest days. He told me that the paternity leave (4 weeks) is only eligible for office hours workers. Can someone advice if this is true? Because technically if 4 weeks he should be at home for roughly 2 months since his working days are about 14 a month? I’m confused.
