I'm 27 weeks pregnant and was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I checked my blood sugar before breakfast, and it was 79 mg/dL. I ate my breakfast—2 slices of loaf bread, 2 scrambled eggs, and ½ cucumber—and checked my blood sugar 2 hours later; it was 83 mg/dL. Is that okay?
My doctor gave me the following targets:
Before meals: less than 95 mg/dL
2 hours after meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner): less than 120 mg/dL
