Usually effective agad after 3 days if inserted during your period, but if inserted on other days of your cycle, kailangan ng 7 days before it's fully protective, that's why marami sa amin nag-use pa ng backup contraception sa first week pa lang to be safe. Best talaga na itanong sa OB mo exactly kung kailan ka fully covered based on when you got it inserted, kasi bawat timing iba-iba!
