Shoplifting child

If you saw a child stealing from a store, what would you do? I was just in a stationery shop and caught a boy (aged around 9-10) picking up a fancy pen and hiding it in his pocket. His mum was on the phone and oblivious to what was going on. #shoplifting #stealing

I've actually seen this happen at a grocery store -- a kid snuck a candy bar into his pocket while his mother wasn't looking. I was standing really close to him so I cleared my throat loudly and stared at him. He got the message and placed the chocolate back on the rack, and promptly ran back to his mother.
