Changing formula milk

If I need to change the brand of current formula milk that my little one drinking. Can I just change immediately or I need to mix old formula with the new formula?#firstmom #pleasehelp #advicepls

My confinement nanny suggested to alternate between old brand and new brand first until the old brand finishes then completely change to new brand. Can start when there is about 1/3 tin of old brand milk left. I haven’t had the chance to try yet because my baby has no problems with my current FM.
