I was told to avoid ginger if I’m breastfeeding my baby for fear of jaundice, but confinement food has ginger. What should I do?

Hi, Asian babies tentatively are more prone to jaundice. It can be due to the breastmilk or genetics. For me, I took smaller amount of ginger than required for the 1st 2 weeks. I only took tonics when my baby is cleared of jaundice. In the end, my baby still got jaundice. PD advised me to continue with my intake of tonics and my baby was alright after some sunbathing.
