Spotting brownish at week 25 from low lying placenta

I was admitted last week for spotting and they discharged me 2 days after it cleared. No bleeding since then. The hospital gave me 2 weeks of HL, but I was advised by my colleague who used to work for an o&g dr that usually such cases dr won't allow them back to work until the placenta has moved up. Any one facing such issue any advice?

I had low lying placenta with spotting before too 🥺 Honestly different gynaes give different advice depending on how low the placenta is, amount of bleeding, and your job scope. Some are okay with returning to work if bleeding stopped, others prefer strict rest especially if there was an admission already. Brown spotting usually means old blood, but with placenta issues it’s still something to take seriously. Personally I’d take it easy even after discharge — avoid heavy lifting, long walking, standing too long, sex, etc until your next review 😅 Most importantly monitor for fresh red bleeding, cramps or tightening. If your work is physically tiring/stressful maybe worth discussing extension of HL with your gynae 🙏🏻
