A MESSAGE TO MY FELLOW PARENTS:

I just want to remind us all that our children are always watching, learning, and absorbing from us—lalo na when it comes to love and relationships. The way we speak to our partners sets the tone for how they will learn to communicate in their own relationships. If we make our partners feel special and valued, our kids will learn how to do the same for others. How we talk about our partners in front of them also teaches our children how they should be treated by the people they love. It’s easy to think that our children are only learning from what we tell them, pero ang totoo, mas natututo at mas naa-absorb nila yung nakikita nila sa atin in our everyday actions. Everything we do, no matter how small, shapes how they will approach love and relationships when it’s their turn. Let’s make sure that the example we set is one that will help them build strong, healthy, and loving relationships in the future. After all, they are learning how to love, by watching us.
