Do we need to avoid cats during pregnancy ?

Ooh I get this worry lah, tapi honestly most of us who have cats during pregnancy turn out fine! The main thing to watch is toxoplasmosis from cat litter, so just make sure hubby or someone else cleans the litter box, or wear gloves if you kena do it yourself, then wash hands properly. Your cat sleeping in your room is totally OK, it's the litter that's the risk, bukan the cat itself. Best check with your gynae just to confirm everything is good with your pregnancy, especially if you haven't done your toxoplasmosis screening yet, tapi generally cats are safe companions when you're preggers!
