Latent tb in pregnancy

Hi. I recently been diagnosed as latent tb, was started on anti tb medication,T.Akurit4. Eventhough antitb meds are safe in pregnancy, but being a patient myself,i am so scared. Is there any moms here experienced situations as mine? I had coloured urine, and urticaria over whole body, common side effects of antitb meds. Wonder if there is doctors in here,(even im a healthcare educator too). Being a patient, i cant counsel myself like i counselled my patients. Any opinions and sharing from moms are greatly appreciated.

Sayang, I understand the fear even though you know logically it's safe, being on the patient side is SO different from counselling others, kan? The colored urine and rashes you're experiencing sound uncomfortable, but please do follow up with your TB doctor ASAP about these side effects, they need to know so they can monitor you properly, especially during pregnancy. A few of us mum friends have gone through different medication journeys during pregnancy, and honestly the doctors adjust things once they see how your body's reacting, so jangan worry alone. You're doing the right thing by taking your treatment seriously for you and baby. Reach out to your TB clinic, they're used to managing pregnant patients on these meds and can give you the reassurance you need better than any of us. You're stronger than you think, mama.
