Where to Bring A Toddler For A Short Holidays

I have an active, always running toddler.. Was thinking to bring him on a relaxing short trip overseas, but not sure if it will add to our stress even more, constantly worried if he starts to run about, gets injured or worse get lost. Any ideas?
