Do I have to accompany my son on his first week of school? Would that be necessary? He's really close to me and I'm kinda afraid he will distracted to me and misbehave instead of mingling and following the class.

most schools have different policies. while some encourage parents to be a part of the entire first experience, other schools ask parents to not be present at all. check with the staff and ask them what they would suggest. unless your child is really crying for you, i would say don't be around. it will be easier for your child to mingle and get settled if you are not around.
